Exploring narrative through photomontage using found images
Join us for an engaging and hands-on workshop exploring the art of photocollage run by UDSO and hosted by Hospitable Environment in their new studio space, The Creative Living Lab, at the Marine Workshops.
In this session, participants will:
- Learn how to read and interpret photographs
- Explore sequencing and visual storytelling, including the Kuleshov effect
- Discover the work of three contemporary artists
- Experiment with a variety of photomontage techniques
No prior experience is required—just bring your creativity! All materials will be provided.
This is a fantastic opportunity to learn new skills, connect with fellow creatives and produce your own unique artwork in a supportive and inspiring environment.

If you would like to support our work, you can pay the supporter rate. if the cost prevents you from attending the workshop, we also offer a limited amount of free spaces.
We aim to support other organisations through our work. 5% profit from Cut It Out events will be donated to Compass Collective: a small arts charity supporting young refugees and asylum seekers through creative projects and arts-led professional development programmes.
