Exploring Narrative Through Photomontage with Figurative Images

Join us for an engaging and hands-on workshop exploring the art of photocollage using figurative imagery, run by UDSO and hosted by Hospitable Environment in their new studio space, The Creative Living Lab, at the Marine Workshops.

In this session, participants will:

  • Learn how to read and interpret figurative photographs
  • Explore sequencing and visual storytelling
  • Discover the work of three contemporary artists working with the figure
  • Experiment with a variety of photomontage techniques using found figurative images

No prior experience is required—just bring your creativity! All materials will be provided.

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn new skills, connect with fellow creatives, and produce your own unique artwork in a supportive and inspiring environment.

You are invited to self-assess regarding your level of payment. Please use the green bottle to see where you fall on the sliding scale. If you would like to support our work, you can pay the supporter rate. If the cost prevents you from attending the workshop, we also offer a limited number of free spaces.

We are committed to supporting other organisations. 5% profit from Cut It Out will go to Compass Collective: a small arts charity supporting young refugees and asylum seekers through creative projects and arts-led professional development programmes.

We look forward to seeing you there! We look forward to seeing you there!
