This relaxed multi-generational gathering creates space for artists, the public, family and community to connect through storytelling in relation to their homegrown collections and idiosyncratic obsessions.
Whether you’re an artist reflecting on your creative process or simply someone with a fascination you'd like to share, this is an invitation to speak, listen, and celebrate our everyday passions and unique perspectives.
There will be ten spaces available for speakers and each participant will have up to five minutes to present. Participants are welcome to bring objects along with them for display and/or present a slideshow. CVAN West Midlands and DASH are delighted to be working with Coventry-based artist and Mothers Who Make Coventry facilitator Adele Mary Reed to shape and curate this lively and uplifting inclusive event.
There will be time to mingle and discuss the rich and varied subject matter following the presentations. Tea and cake will be provided. All are welcome of all ages - please book to join us either as an audience member or as a speaker.
This event is delivered by CVAN WM and DASH as part of a short series of activities for CB25, celebrating regional artists, and exploring themes of obsession, collecting, and creative connection.
