CVSA ON CROYDON RENEWAL – THE VCS ROLE
Event Information
About this Event
Croydon Council issued a Section 114 – giving notice that it has spent more money than it has and cannot balance its budget.
On the back of the Covid19 experience, before its financial position became critical, the Council was in dialogue with us on a ‘shifting of resources’ towards VCS provision. This remains the right strategy in the context of Croydon’s longer-term renewal and the need to find preventative ways of supporting people coping with the fallout from Covid19, exacerbated by the impact of an economic recession.
At this CVSA meeting we will start an informed discussion with the Council on how best we can work together over the winter, given the most recent news on Section 114.
A Zoom invitation with log in details will be emailed to attendees prior to this event.
