About this event

This is a unique opportunity to discover more about the War Memorials in Bury Town Centre.

Learn about the history of the Lancashire Fusilier's in Bury and how two of the CWGC s Principal Architects played a part in honouring Bury's Heroes' who made the ultimate sacrifice.

The tour will end with all ticket holders being given free entry into the Fusilier museum.

The Tour will start at 11:00am at the reception at The Fusilier Museum Bury Moss St, Bury BL9 0DF, https://www.fusiliermuseum.com/

The walking tour will be approx an hour ending at the Fusilier Museum where all ticket holders will get free entry into museum (self-guided) afterwards. Monetary donations to the museum can be made at the venue.

This will be a walking tour requiring participants to walk around 300 metres in Bury town centre on public pavements. The pavements are wheelchair accessible with a small area of cobbled roads to navigate. Toilet facilities are available at the museum and the tour will require standing for 45 mins during the walk.

Parking will be available at public carparks in the area. Closest long stay car park to Museum is at East Lancs Railway Bolton St Bury BL9 0DL- this is a pay and display car park. This car park does have steps to navigate.
