Amlwch Community Cemetery is one of the most northerly cemeteries in Wales and has been used for burials, since the 1860s. There is one entrance into the cemetery with limited space for parking, with most people parking on the lane that runs parallel to the main road. The cemetery has a mixture of primary and secondary memorials to those who made the ultimate sacrifice in both World Wars. The graves are a mixture of CWGC and family graves, with inscriptions in Welsh and English. Amlwch Community Cemetery is the resting place of William Williams VC, who served during the First World War. William Williams was awarded the VC and the DSM and bar, recognising his work in the First World War. The French Republic awarded him the Médaille Militiare.
Limited parking available on site or nearby; level/uneven ground; no facilities on site.
Please come dressed for the weather and wear suitable footwear.
