MEETING POINT at the Cross of Sacrifice in the middle of the cemetery.

Leigh Cemetary is one of the larger cemeteries in the local area and buried within it are soldiers who fought in the penisular wars under Wellington and a brave holder of a Victoria cross, Britains highest honour. The town centre monument has over 1081 individual war dead from both world wars and later conflicts named.

At Leigh cemetery the GWGC take care of 105 Graves of individuals who served in both World Wars and later conflicts scattered across every area of the cemetery.

As you enter the cemetery you will see the GWGC Cross of Sacrifice monument to honour all of the war dead on you right.

Parking available nearby and on site; on-site facilities and toilets; level ground; wheelchair access.

Please dress for the weather and wear suitable footwear.
