MEETING POINT at the memorial adjacent to the Museum of Liverpool, Pierhead.

At the outbreak of the Second World War, a number of officers and men of the Merchant Navy agreed to serve with the Royal Navy under the terms of the T.124 agreement. The Liverpool Naval Memorial commemorates over 1,400 of these officers and men, who died on active service during the battle of the Atlantic, aboard more than 120 ships, who have no known grave but the sea. Discover more about the history and ongoing work of CWGC and learn about the heroes we commemorate.

No parking available in close proximity; nearest parking in Q car parks, nearest is Merseyrail Station, James Street.

Toilet facilities available at Ferry Terminal or Museum of Liverpool.

Please come dressed for the weather as it can be very windy on site.

The Commonwealth War Graves Foundation (CWGF) aims to actively engage all communities with the work of the CWGC by telling the inspiring stories through education and outreach projects.

The CWGF is an independent charity registered with the Charity Commission of England and Wales (1171947) and Scotland (SC051982).
