MEETING POINT is at the entrance to the cemetery in Russell Street.
Russell Street divides the cemetery into two plots, one side was used by the Seccessionist and the other side was the destination for those exhumed when the Newton-on Ayr Church in King Street was demolished to make way for the new traffic system. The cemetery contains two CWGC mantained graves from WW1.
Parking available in Russell Street; no facilities or toilets available; very uneven ground; not suitable for wheelchairs.
Please dress for the weather and wear suitable footwear.
The Commonwealth War Graves Foundation (CWGF) aims to actively engage all communities with the work of the CWGC by telling the inspiring stories through education and outreach projects.
The CWGF is an independent charity registered with the Charity Commission of England and Wales (1171947) and Scotland (SC051982).
