Whithorn Cemetery is steamed in history, being the location of the ruin of Whithorn Priory. The cemetery covers a large area with a number of war graves from both WW1 and WW2. Some graves within the cemetery date back as far as Waterloo in 1815. All services, Army, Navy and Airforce are represented as well as a local holder of a Military Medal. Discover historic links to the largest maritime disaster in the Irish Sea.
Parking available approx 80 metres away in the town centre, it is possible to drop off if required.
Wheelchair access is limited. Mostly level ground but steps and gentle slope at the end of the tour. There are public toilets off site about 60 metres away.
Please dress for the weather and wear suitable footwear.
