What is needed for businesses and the public sector to realise the levelling-up agenda
About this event
We are delighted to invite you to join to the CWO Enterprise event with focus on levelling up. With levelling up at the top of the policy agenda we will discuss with our fantastic panel what this means for businesses, communities and equality.
Our panel session will explore what is needed for businesses and the public sector to realise the levelling-up agenda in the short term, as well as what framework is required to unlock growth opportunities, raise productivity and unleash the North’s full potential.
We will also explore the principal recommendations in the paper “A Northern Big Bang – Unleashing Investment in the North”, published by the Northern Research Group (NRG) in conjunction with the Centre for Policy Studies (CPS).
We will be joined by Jake Berry MP, Former Northern Powerhouse Minister and Chair of the Northern Research Group, Simone Roche MBE, Founder - Northern Power Women, Northern Power Futures and the Power Platform, Jill Mortimer, MP for Hartlepool and Sharon Jandu, Co-chair of CWO Enterprise and Project Director of Northern Asian Power.
We will wrap the session up with time for you to ask your questions, and for those that can stay online we will provide an opportunity to network after the session.
