CWP Student and Alumni reading

By The Creative Writing Programme

Overview

A chance for our students and alumni to read some of their work - hosted by a CWP tutor.

The Creative Writing Programme (CWP) offers several readings a year - both in-person at Kemptown Bookshop, Brighton and online. They're a chance for our students and alumni to read some of their work and for fellow students to hear from their peers and meet one another over a glass of wine or soft drink.

Join us on the evening of Thursday 20th November 2025 at Kemptown Bookshop in Brighton to hear a selection of readings from students past and present and meet fellow writers. The session will be hosted by a CWP tutor and CWP director Cathy Hayward.

These events are exclusively for writers and alumni of the Creative Writing Programme and their friends and family. The £6 ticket price includes refreshments.

If you'd like to read from your work at future readings, please contact Cathy to book a slot in one of the sessions - cathy@creativewritingprogramme.org.uk.

Our next readings are Wednesday 21st January (online), Wednesday 18th March (in-person at Kemptown Bookshop, Brighton), Thursday 7th May (in-person at Kemptown Bookshop, Brighton) and Thursday 2nd July (online). More dates may be announced if there's demand.
