CWT Online Lecture //Eating Well for People with a Learning Disability

Eighteen years ago The Caroline Walker Trust released nutritional and practical guidelines aimed specifically at supporting people with a learning disability. Alongside the launch of the revised guidelines this autumn, this webinar aims to explore exactly why this resource remains so relevant. Our speakers will discuss the current evidence, practical application and real-world experience of ensuring the nutritional needs of a group who often present with complex challenges are met.

Our speakers are:

  • Carly Atkinson MSc RD- Specialist Learning Disabilities Dietitian, CWT Trustee and Editor of the revised Eating Well Guide
  • Nicola Swaffield - Parent Carer
  • Karen Coulman PhD RD - Associate Professor in Obesity Research and Practice, University of Bristol
