Event description

Description

Fire! Everything that touches Fire’s energy is transformed, however if left to its own devices it can be volatile, leaving devastation in its wake. In Greek mythology, fire was seen as a powerful tool, too great to be given to people and so was jealously guarded by the Gods. Then it was stolen and gifted to humans, giving birth to civilisation.

Do you dare face the heat and take on our Charity Fire Walk on Friday the 27th October at Singleton Environment Centre in Ashford, or will you crumble into ashes? Could you walk across 5 metres of red hot embers burning at 1236 degrees fahrenheit?

CXK has appointed the The Fundraising Firewalk Association to run this event for us. They have a 100% safety record, and with the support of trained staff all the participating walkers will be trained and motivated to brave the heat!

Can you take the heat? We dare you!

There are two ways to take part:

1. You can purchase a full price ticket for £50 - with no need to fundraise for us.

2. You can purchase a fundraiser tickets for just £25, and pledge to raise £75 in donations/sponsorship. We will send you a fundraising pack within 72 hours of you buying your ticket.

NB. Please note due to the nature of this event participants must be aged over 16 yrs. Anyone between the ages of 16 and 18 will need a parental permission and supervision to participate.

CXK reserves the right to evict any person from the event, without refund, if we have reason to believe that by them participating in the fire walk they will cause danger to themselves or others around them.

Every penny raised will be used to support vulnerable children and young people in Kent through our emotional health and wellbeing counselling service. Each day we support dozens of children and young people to cope with their mental health issues, to stop self-harming and to access talk therapies. With your help we can reach even more.
