Cyanotypes with Nicole & Carlos
Make your own sun prints! Join special guests Nicole and Carlos and learn how to use photosensitive chemicals to create striking blue and white botanical prints.
The owners of the Yellow Bird Cafe, you might not know that they are also talented artists! Their collaborative project Burn the Negatives began during the covid lockdown, and they have produced hundreds of stunning prints since.
With their help, you will learn how to prep your surface for exposure, then arrange a range of pressed flowers, leaves and grasses from the Field Shelter meadow onto your paper. You'll then expose your design to the sun to create a beautiful sharp design in striking blue and white.
