Learn about photo blueprinting by creating Cyanotypes from your own source images.
About this event
Photo blueprinting (also known as Cyanotype process, from the Greek ‘kyanos’ meaning blue), is one of the oldest photographic processes. Today it is generally classified as a member of the alternative photography processes.
You will learn how to create Cyanotypes from your own source images by creating large format acetate negatives that can be printed directly onto suitably coated paper by exposure to safe ultra-violet light.
This course is suitable for beginners and all activities will be tutor supported throughout.
We will provide all the materials for this course.
Please wear old clothes or bring an overall as some of the processes can be messy.
Course fees include refreshments throughout the day, including fresh coffees, teas and a tasty two course lunch.
The workshop takes place in the Ground Floor Drawing Room. There is a flight of stairs from the main entrance with a stair lift.
