Join us at this free event during National Apprenticeship Week (NAW 2019) and find out how to use your Apprenticeship Levy for qualifications at De Montfort University (DMU), Leicester.

DMU are proud to offer the below programmes, both accepting applications now for a start this spring;

This free event on Friday 8 March at 10.00am will provide information about how Degree Apprenticeships work in practice. It will also include a case study from IBM's Early Careers HR Business Partner, Tammie Wilde, with employees who are currently studying the Digital and Technology Solutions Degree Apprenticeship at DMU.

10.30am: Welcome and introduction from Professor David Mba, Pro Vice-Chancellor and Dean of Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Media

10.40am: Overview of Digital and Technology Solutions Degree Apprenticeship with Dr Richard Smith, Associate Professor of Cyber Security

11.00am: DMU’s support for apprenticeships from Nadia Omar, Business Development Manager, Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Media and Atika Kohli, Apprenticeships Officer

11:10am: Overview of Cyber Security Technical Professional Integrated Degree Apprenticeship with Dr Richard Smith, Associate Professor of Cyber Security

11:30am: How apprenticeships work in practice – the real commitment and roles of the employer and apprentice by Tammie Wilde, Early Careers HR Business Partner, IBM

11.45am: An apprentice’s perspective with Aatika Seedat and Kieran Lewin, IBM

12:00am: Q and A opportunity

12.30pm: Lunch and networking
