Hear from Sinisha Patkovic, Blackbery, Nour Fateen, Recorded Future and Andy Burston, NCA Thursday 7 March.   We kick off the ISSA-UK calender of evants we are delighted to welcome you to our first event of 2019.  As usual we will be welcoming some of the UK's top cyber security speakers and we thank Grant Thornton and all of our sponsors for enabling us to host this event. This event focuses on Cyber Ethics and Law.

We conclude the event with drinks, food and networking, where you will get the opportunity to meet with your peers and discuss your cyber security challenges in an informal atmosphere.

5.20  - 'Cyber security in the legal sector' - Sinisha Patkovic, Vice President Government Solutions, Blackberry

Sinisha Patkovic is vice president of BlackBerry's security advisory team. He plays a leading role in BlackBerry's commercial engagement strategy with governments and global organizations, recently focusing on developing and delivering communications solutions to customers such as the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and the German government. He also has experience in broader IT management and cyber-security policy, mobile and cloud technology, and national security and surveillance. Patkovic joined BlackBerry in 2005 to manage relationships for Verizon's BlackBerry enterprise customer base and provide consultative services to Fortune 500 companies, public-sector organizations and federal agencies in Washington, D.C. Before that, he worked at a top insurance company in Canada, providing leadership and technical expertise in IT programs. Earlier, he was with IBM Canada, the United Nations and the European Commission. He is also an instructor in the IT security program at Conestoga College in Canada.

6.30 -  Andy Burston, Data Protection Project Delivery Manager, NCA

Andy is Data Protection Project Delivery Manager at the National Crime Agency (NCA)  Formed in 2013, the Agency tackles cyber and economic crime that crosses regional and international borders. The NCA also leads the fight against organised crime, human, weapon and drug trafficking.

Andy is responsible for corporate Information Management (IM) and the approach to Data Protection. This includes helping to set strategy and IM policy to ensure that the organisation can confidently identify, discharge and comply with Data Protection responsibilities and can mitigate information risk.
