Event description

Description

This event is for those involved in education and youth groups.

A one day special conference for teachers, educators and youth workers in Hampshire, designed to help you safeguard young people against the cyber threat and keep them safe online.

The first such event of its kind, the day brings together an exciting array of speakers including the NSPCC speaking about the resources available and the help O2 Gurus can provide parents; specialist police officers with first hand experience of dealing with the issue of sexting; Tanya Goodin - a leading digital expert on issues faced by teenagers online and how to deal with them; Scott McGready - who will provide a fascinating insight into online safety from the hackers perspective; and the Office of the Police & Crime Commissioner's Youth Commission who will detail the exciting new Cyber Ambassadors Scheme currently being developed in schools.

The day will be opened by the Chief Constable Olivia Pinkney and the Police & Crime Commissioner Michael Lane, and will end with a Q&A panel featuring many of the day's speakers.

We hope you can join us and look forward to seeing you there.

The event opens at 9.00 for coffee and registration, for a prompt 9.30 start. Thank you.
