‘As the world becomes more and more digital, so do the threats that it faces. Just as we need to protect our organizations from disruptions that occur in the physical world, so it is important that we also have plans in place to deal with disruptions in the virtual world’ Business Continuity Institute website.
Recent reports published by the Business Continuity Institute (BCI) revealed that two-thirds of organizations had experienced at least one cyber security incident during the previous year and 15% had experienced at least 10. Business Continuity Awareness Week is this year focusing on cyber resilience.
A significant number of UK businesses are failing to adequately protect themselves from cyber-attacks or bolstering their current cyber resilience which can leave them facing potentially significant losses. Research has shown that often SMEs (small and medium sized businesses) are particularly at risk due to a misperception that they are unlikely targets by cyber criminals
What recent changes have you made to your business to protect from digital threats?
Join us on May 17th to discover the latest trends that cyber criminals are exploiting the internet to target and attack businesses. Learn how you can protect yourself and your business from the latest emerging trends and scams.
The session will include speakers from BCI, law enforcement and the cyber insurance industry. Attendees will be sent an e-pack following the event containing the presentations in a pdf format. Attendees can also consider taking advantage of the free new service, the Cyber Basics Review (CBR). If you are taking those first steps in improving your technical cyber security, or wanting to review your existing measures, then Cambridgeshire Constabulary can come and visit your business or organisation and perform the CBR in an informal and open discussion about protecting your business.
