In the last couple of years we’ve all become increasingly aware that cyber resilience is something we all have to take very seriously and take personal responsibility for, whatever size of organisation we work in and whatever role we play.

But what are the risks we should be most aware of? How do we minimise the risk of having our businesses and lives disrupted by a hacker or malicious software?

What should we do if it happens?

This event aims to give you an update on our event in March last year from an expert from the Curious Frank, the cyber section of the Scottish Business Resilience Centre, as well as find out about how vulnerable you really are to an attack from hackers and how these threats can be mitigated.

Gerry GrantExpert: Gerry Grant, Chief Ethical Hacking Consultant, Curious Frank, Scottish Business Resilience Centre

After a varied career in retail, sales and the financial sector, Gerry returned to university in 2013 to study Ethical Hacking at Abertay University.

Gerry studied the way in which hackers exploit the vulnerabilities found in computer systems and completed projects on the weaknesses of public wifi and encryption techniques amongst others.

Gerry joined the SBRC during his final year at university - helping to deliver presentations, training and security assessments.

Gerry is passionate about raising the awareness of cyber security and the steps businesses and individuals can take to improve their security and keep themselves safer online.
