2414 Blue are a Member of The British Standards Industry. This Cyber Security Best Practices Course is held by experienced Cyber Security professionals and practitioners. This course will give you a firm understanding of best practices, guidelines, actual industry facts and case studies and the ability to start implementing good practice frameworks and strategies to protect your organisation. Upon completion of the day course you will be sent a link to the exam, by scoring 75% or higher you will gain a Certificate in Cyber Security Best Practices.

  • Understanding cyber security and cyber resilience and being aware of risk

  • The importance of people, processes and technology in security protection.

  • Approaches to isolating malware and ransomware, risk management, incident response and business continuity. An understanding of current cyber security standards and best practices:

    • 10 Steps to Cyber Security

    • 20 Critical Controls for Cyber Defence

    • ISO 27001 and integrated management systems

    • ISO 22301 and associated frameworks

    • Other frameworks, such as PAS555, COBIT 5, the PCI DSS and RESILIA

    • Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus

    • Penetration Testing and Ethical Hacking

  • Investigating ISO 27001 and 22301 and the importance of implementing such a framework in your organisation.

  • How to put together an effective cyber security strategy, show progress to directors, executive staff, board members, partners, clients and suppliers.

  • Writing an effective data security strategy document and starting to implement it.
