Cybercrime: How Protected is Your Business?
Tue 15 November 2016, 10:00 – 12:00 GMT
How protected is your business?
Cybercriminals are increasingly targeting SME's due to their typically lower defences, making them a 'soft target'.
These criminals will use a wide range of methods to steal, hack, and hold to ransom your business data, which can include client details, financial records and much more. And evidence shows that smaller businesses and the self-employed are at greater risk.
In order to help businesses guard against these cyber threats, FSB will bring in the Scottish Business Resilience Centre's Ethical Hackers to demonstrate and outline the ways criminals will try to target you and your business, and the very easy steps you can take to protect yourself.
Police Scotland will also give a brief overview of Serious Organised Crime Groups (SOCGs), their potential threats and what business owners can do to protect themselves, their businesses and their customers.
