Do I have to take the course? Can we still make the winners’ list if we don’t?

You don’t have to take the course, and you can still be on the winners’ list without it. However, because the challenge includes material beyond GCSE (and some beyond A-level) across a broad set of topics, preparation can be time-consuming. What’s special about the course?
