In this workshop you will gain an insight into the reasons why children, young people and adults are harmed by issues in cyberspace and you will learn the mechanisms behind these issues from a perpetrators and victims perspective. This workshop will cover many aspects of cyberspace and will help you understand your clients and their internet/cyberspace usage as your clients will be consumers and users of this technology.
The one day workshop will include:
An introduction to cyberspace and the issues for your clients.
Attachment theory and how this relates to cyberspace and devices.
An introduction to the Polyvagal system and how this relates to safety/social communication/ attachment and self regulation processes- why is this important for cyberspace?
Cybertrauma and how this can be recognised - all aspects and issues
Victim responses and behaviours and how to work with these.
How to help build resilience around cyberspace for the future.
Therapeutic Interventions for Cybertrauma using the S.P.A.R. model developed by Catherine.
