What is it?
On Sunday 21st June we bring together a diverse range of people to identify barriers to cycling and generate ideas that will solve these issues. We want these ideas to become hacks. This means, that over the duration of the Cyclehack event you will be working with people to make your ideas real.
Your ideas will be rapidly prototyped to see how they might work in the real world.
All the ideas created are then put online and shared on a Cyclehack Open Source Catalogue for the world to see, share and use in their own cities.
The best ideas will be honoured with a CycleHack award and some awesome prizes on offer from our sponsors Oakley In Residence.
Who is it for?
Whether you cycle or not, we're interested to see people from all corners of London talking with each other about their experiences and thoughts on cycling within the city.
Our London event has limited capacity and we will be opperating a wait list for spaces. If you have a ticket you can't use please let us know asap to allow others to attend in your place.
Why are we doing it?
CycleHack focuses on bringing people and their places together to discuss and generate solutions to barriers that stop or inhibit people from cycling.
Over the weekend in June, a diverse range of people with different skill sets and experiences will come together to look at cycling in a new way at events happening all over the world.
When & Where
CycleHack is a global movement that is on a mission to make the world more sustainable by reducing the barriers to cycling. CycleHack focuses on bringing people and their places together to discuss and generate solutions to barriers that stop or inhibit people from successfully cycling.
Through a range of activities, we bring together a range of people with different skill sets and experiences to look at cycling in a new way. We believe that through empowering individuals, organisations and governments to collaborate, share skills and prototype new ideas around cycling, we can build a healthier, more active and sustainable world.
CycleHack London is hosted by Philip Blaikie with the generous support of Oakley in Residence.
