Description

About Cycling Scotland

Cycling Scotland received funding from Transport Scotland and the Scottish Government to bring cycling out from fringes of everyday life and into the mainstream. We do this by providing training opportunities, funding schemes, nationally recognised award programmes and advising on policy and cycle infrastructure. We aim to establish cycling as an acceptable, attractive and practical lifestyle option.

The Event

This will be an opportunity for community groups to find out about Cycling Scotland's Cycle Friendly Community Award - what changes have been made, why it's relevant to their community, the benefits, and to meet other community groups, both involved or looking to get involved with community cycling. There will also be exhibitors from Sustrans, Cycling UK, Planning Aid Scotland, Paths for All, and Keep Scotland Beautiful's Climate Challenge Fund.

Who Should Attend?

Community groups aiming to increase access to bike and opportunities to cycle locally, regardless of progress to date.
