Cycling Support Sessions and Bike Loans (Auchendinny)

Boost your cycling confidence and skills with tailored one-to-one sessions.

Choose your focus from:

• Buddy Ride – Ride together on real routes you want to use. Build confidence in context, with on-the-spot guidance on road positioning, junctions, and safer cycling. Includes a bike safety check.
• Better Biking (Confidence Session) – Focus on general cycling skills and confidence. Learn tips for communication, road position, and safe riding practices. Delivered at your pace, including a bike safety check.
• Learn to Ride – Support for beginners to master balance, pedaling, and braking. Friendly, patient guidance with bikes available if needed.
• Route Planning Support – Help to identify safe, enjoyable journeys tailored to your ability, comfort, and goals.
• Basic Bike Care (coming soon) – Learn simple checks and maintenance to keep your bike running smoothly.
• Puncture Repair (coming soon) – Hands-on practice fixing a flat so you’ll never be stuck again.
• Bike Loan (4–8 weeks) – Borrow a bike to practice, commute, or build confidence between sessions. Options include e-bikes, cargo bikes, standard bikes, trikes, tandems, or kids’ bikes, depending on availability. You can take time to discuss which bike suits you, try different types, or have a session to learn how to use it safely.
  (Note: If you book a one-to-one session, you’ll automatically be offered a bike for that session — no separate booking needed)
  
  Sessions last around 1 hour and are usually held on Thursdays at Auchendinny and some Saturdays.
