Bydd un person mewn pedwar yn profi rhyw fath o anhwylder iechyd meddwl mewn blwyddyn. Mae Cymorth Cyntaf Iechyd Meddwl (Cymru) yn gallu helpu gwella bywydau.

Nod:

Nod y cwrs dau ddiwrnod yma yw i wella dealltwriaeth iechyd meddwl ac i helpu unigolion o fewn y diwydiannau creadigol i adnabod arwyddion a symptomau rhywun gyda anhwylderau iechyd meddwl. Byddwn yn darparu deunydd ymarferol. Noder nid yw cynnwys y cwrs wedi ei deilwra ar gyfer y diwydiant.

Amcanion:

Nid yw'r cwrs yma yn eich hyfforddi i fod yn therapydd, cwnselydd neu berson proffesiynol iechyd meddwl ond bydd yn cynyddu eich hyder wrth weithio gydag oedolion sy'n agored i niwed.

Bydd yn eich dysgu sut i:

  • roi cymorth cychwynnol i rywun sy’n gwynebu problemau iechyd meddwl
  • ymdrin â sefyllfa o argyfwng neu’r arwyddion cyntaf bod rhywun yn datblygu salwch meddwl
  • gyfeirio pobl at gymorth priodol.

Tystysgrif:

Bydd mynychwyr sy'n cwblhau'r ddau ddiwrnod llawn yn derbyn tystysgrif presenoldeb gan Training in Mind Cymru.

One person in four will experience some form of mental health condition in the course of a year. Mental Health First Aid (Wales) training can help improve lives.

Aims:

This two day course aims to improve mental health awareness and help people in the creative sectors to recognise the signs and symptoms of someone with mental health conditions. Practical information will be provided to support participants. Please note the course content has not been tailored to the creative sector.

Objectives:

The course does not train you to be a therapist, counsellor or mental health professional, but it will increase your confidence in working with vulnerable adults.

It will teach you to:

  • give initial help to someone experiencing a mental health problem
  • deal with a crisis situation or the first signs of someone developing mental ill health
  • guide people towards appropriate support

Certificate:

Participants who complete the full two days will receive a certificate of attendance from Training in Mind Wales.

Sian is a former member of the Wales committee of the Equalities and Human Rights Commission and has run helplines on subjects such as suicide, eating disorders and PTSD. (PGCE Qualified Trainer).



Darperir gweithdai CULT Cymru mewn amgylchedd cyfeillgar ac anfygythiol ble bydd cyfranogwyr yn cael cyfle i ofyn cwestiynau a chodi materion yn ystod y dydd.

CULT Cymru workshops are delivered in a friendly and non-threatening environment where participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and raise issues during the day.

What happens when you cancel?

There will be times when delegates book onto courses/events and subsequently find that they are unable to attend.

In these situations we ask that delegates notify us of their need to cancel as soon as possible.

A full refund will be issued to delegates who cancel at least 2 weeks prior to the course/event.

Delegates who cancel within the 2 week period will not be eligible for a refund unless we are able to find someone else to take their place.

What happens when we cancel?

There may also be times when we need to cancel a course/event.

In these situations we will provide a full refund to all delegates booked onto those courses/events.

Data Protection

Prospect's BECTU Sector Training in Wales is partly funded by the Welsh Government’s Wales Union Learning Fund via the joint-union CULT Cymru project. By registering for this training course or event, you are accepting that your personal data will be shared with the funder as part of BECTU’s requirements to receive the funding. The data is used only to show outcomes and outputs and is securely maintained for a period of 10 years, as stated in contracts for the funding. Data will also be shared with Training in Mind who will issue the certificates for the training.

In addition, Prospect/BECTU uses this data to send you information about future BECTU/CULT Cymru events and training courses, update you on news, resources and publications and contact you for any future research we may conduct into the industry. We will never use or share your data without your permission. Please indicate that you are happy for BECTU/CULT Cymru to contact you in this way by ticking yes under 'Your information' at the end of the booking form.

How to withdraw your consent or make a complaint

If you no longer wish to receive communications from BECTU/CULT Cymru you can withdraw your consent by contacting the Data Protection Compliance Officer, Tracey Hunt, on datacompliance@prospect.org.uk.
