Introduction to the 'Super Citizens' for schools.
About this event
BE.Xcellence has created a bi-lingual school resource suitable for learners (age 8-11) to help them develop a sense of Cynefin and citizenship. Super Citizens covers six topics/missions, to help learners explore subjects such as anti-racism, environment, community, wellbeing and law and order.
This exciting project is designed with considerations of The New Curriculum for Wales ‘statements of what matters’ and AOLE’s. The resource takes the learners on a journey to explore the meaning of community, providing building blocks and progression steps to critically assess the need for equality. Whilst exploring community and equality, learners can use acquired knowledge to evaluate racism and determine how to develop an anti-racist mindset as Individuals and as a collective, enabling them to see themselves as global citizens.
The author of the project, and director of BE.Xcellence Donna Ali is a member of the DARPL project. This session is designed to introduce the ‘Super Citizens’ to leader and teachers considering resources for schools.
