Event Details

What would make south east Cardiff a greener, healthier and better place to live?

Do you live, work, play in: Adamsdown, Cathays or Roath/Plasnewydd?

Cynefin Cardiff is inviting residents and community groups to help build a vision, share ideas and hopefully get involved in planning & delivering projects in partnership with various stakeholders.

Project ideas could involve anything within the sustainability field (social, economic and environmental) for example:

  • Improving the local environment (waste, litter, fly tipping, graffiti etc)
  • Community energy projects
  • Local food growing networks
  • Improving the local economy
  • Up skilling residents
  • Environmental behaviour change
  • Sustainable transport
  • Improving health and wellbeing
  • Strengthening community cohesion
  • Anything and everything in between!

A tasty, locally sourced, organic (where possible) buffet will be provided by Adamsdown’s (and Cardiff’s) finest: Hungry Planet. The food will be a mixture of vegetarian and vegan. There will also be fresh, homemade juices. If anyone has a particular dietary requirement please contact me:

Cynefin Cardiff

Cynefin literally translates as "habitat" but can also represent a sense of belonging to a place. This programme is focused on making places better for people.

Cynefin Cardiff will be working with residents and relevant partners in Adamsdown, Cathays and Plasnewydd to bring together, empower and improve the quality of life for those communities.

The aim of Cynefin is to assist communities with efforts to achieve a better quality of life by bringing the benefits of a good environment to people’s doorsteps and helping them develop more sustainable lifestyles, which encompass skills development, employment and stronger community cohesion.

Cynefin Cardiff is a programme managed by Severn Wye Energy Agency. SWEA are an independent charity and not-for-profit company which aims to promote sustainable energy and affordable warmth through partnership, awareness-raising, innovation and strategic action.
