When a group of scientists are selected to tour an island theme park populated by beautiful and savage dinosaurs created from prehistoric DNA, they find that safety precautions aren’t quite up to scratch. Join us for the original - and maybe still the best - Jurassic Park film.

This may not be the UK premiere of the film, but we’ve also had special permission to screen this film as a celebration of the work that Liz Evan’s and the Carmarthen community did to save the Lyric Theatre in 1993.

Standard tickets are £3.00 plus Eventbrite booking fee - however, *no one will be turned away due to lack of funds* Please let us know if the ticket price means you might not be able to attend. Please get in touch on info@cynefincaerffili.org.

Frequently asked questions

Is the venue accessible?

Our team are welcoming with an understanding of creating neuro-inclusive spaces. There is a quiet space if you need one. We have wheelchair access and flat floor throughout and a disabled parking space nearby. There is baby changing facilities in our ground floor accessible toilet

Why is the film a 12A

The film received a 12A certificate in the UK from The British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) due to scenes of sustained threat and creature violence may disturb younger children

Where is parking for the venue?

The venue is opposite the Twyn Car Park where the Tommy Cooper statue is. There are places to park here on the Caerphilly Council web page. https://www.caerphilly.gov.uk/services/transport-and-parking/parking-permits/season-tickets/pay-and-display-charges

Are there refreshments at the venue? Can I bring in my own snacks?

We ask that you don't bring in your own drinks and snacks. We have a bar with affordable hot and cold drinks and snacks, 0% beers, stout and cider and vegan sweets. We are volunteers and want to keep everything affordable. Supporting us by buying snacks helps us to do that. Thank you.
