Film: Save The Cinema (12A), 109mins

Directed by: Sara Sugarman. Starring Samantha Morton, Tom Felton, Jonathan Pryce, Rhod Gilbert

This funny and heartwarming film tells the true story of hairdresser, Liz Evans' fight to save Carmarthenshire’s Lyric Theatre when the town council plan to demolish it to build a shopping centre in its place. But the council didn't reckon on Liz's determination when she enlists the help of the community and one of Hollywood's most legendary film-makers. Save the Cinema illustrates how the resolve of a small Welsh town, inspired by the magic of cinema, was able to bring Tinseltown to their doorstep.

Post screening Q&A: We're excited to be joined by Actor Angharad Roche, alongside Liz's children Wynne and Mark events to celebrate what would have been Liz's 81st birthday.
