Os bydd genedigaeth yn ystod y diwrnod, bydd cyfle i dorchi llewys (os ydych chi am wneud!). Bydd cyfle hefyd i dreulio amser gyda'r mamau newydd a'u plant, gan ddysgu sut i adnabod anghenion gwahanol a helpu'r ŵyn bach drwy eu dyddiau cyntaf pwysig. Bydd yr amserlen yn hyblyg, yn dibynnu ar anghenion y sied wyna ar y diwrnod.

Mae hwn yn gwrs i ddechreuwyr a does dim angen unrhyw brofiad blaenorol o drin stoc. Bydd tri lle i'w archebu bob diwrnod. Darllenwch y canllawiau isod cyn archebu lle.

  • Caiff anturiaethau'r sied wyna eu darlledu yn fyw ar y #sgrinwyna ar wefan yr Amgueddfa. Mae unrhyw un sy'n archebu'r cwrs yn debygol o ymddangos (er taw'r defaid yw'r sêr). By purchasing a ticket, you agree to be filmed. Bydd yn rhaid i chi lofnodi ffurflen yn caniatáu ffotograffio a ffilmio ar y diwrnod.

Caiff lluniaeth ysgafn ei darparu. Mae croeso i chi ddod â phecyn bwyd neu ymweld â'n bwytai a chaffis ar y safle. Mae pris y cwrs yn cynnwys parcio - casglwch eich tocyn parcio o'r porthdy wrth gyrraedd.

A chance to experience the magic of a full day in the Museum's lambing shed at Llwyn-yr-eos Farm. Under the expert guidance of our farming team, you’ll learn how to care for pregnant sheep, recognise labour and deal with common problems.

If births happen during the day, there’ll be a chance to get really hands-on (if you want to!). There’ll also be time in the nursery with our new mums and babies – you’ll learn to assess welfare needs and help the lambs through those vital first few days of life. The schedule of the day will be flexible around what’s happening in the lambing shed at the time.

This course is suitable for complete beginners – no previous stock handling experience required. There will be three places available to book on each day. Please read the guidance notes below before making a booking.

Guidance Notes:

  • Anyone who is pregnant, trying to get pregnant, or has a partner who is expecting, should read the following health guidelines from the NHS
  • We have scheduled these dates to give you the best chance of witnessing a birth, but lambing is an unpredictable business and we cannot guarantee it.
  • You will need to be happy to wear old clothes and get dirty – we recommend overtrousers. (Kneeling in sheep poo is virtually guaranteed!)
  • Events from the lambing shed will be broadcast live on the Museum's website as part of #lambcam. As a result, anyone attending this course will be likely to appear (although the sheep are the stars of the show). By purchasing a ticket, you agree to be filmed. You will be required to sign a photography and filming release form on the day.

Light refreshments will be provided. You are welcome to bring a packed lunch or visit our on-site catering facilities. The price of this course includes parking – collect your parking pass from the security gatelodge on arrival.

Use postcode CF5 6XB for satnav.

All tickets for this event must be purchased in advance.

Language: This course will be held in English but we are happy to provide simultaneous translation if you would like to take part in Welsh. Please choose a ticket in your language of choice, making sure you have one ticket for each person. Please book your tickets at least one week before the event.

Accessibility: This course may be unsuitable for those with mobility issues due to the nature of conditions in the lambing shed. Please contact us before booking to discuss any concerns via email to events@musemwales.ac.uk

Concession eligibility: Unwaged, over 60s, anyone in full-time education with NUS card, disabled people.

Suitability: 16+
