South East Dance have an exciting new participation project for people of any age based in or near Brighton & Hove to get involved in workshops and maybe even a performance.

Join us for dance, movement and story-telling workshops for father figures & their sons and daughters.

Take part in workshops led by professional dance artists. Explore what it means to be a Dad and what it means to be a daughter or son. Workshops culminate in the chance to create and perform in a professional show at Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts.

Make new memories. Tell your story. Try something new.  No experience necessary

If you are not sure but want to find out more come along. There will be complimentary refreshments and we can offer travel expenses based on need.

For more info visit our website or for a chat about it contact Sarah Kearney or Rose Kigwana on 01273 696 844 or email

Dad Dancing is a project by Rosie Heafford, Alexandrina Hemsley and Helena Webb and their dads Adrian, David and Andy. Dad Dancing is produced by Battersea Arts Centre.
The Brighton project is co-programmed by South East Dance and Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts.

South East Dance

Aleading arts organisation focused on developing dance.

We want to ensure the best dance by the most talented artists gets made and that people from all walks of life can access greater opportunities to enjoy the exhilaration and health benefits of dance. We give artists the opportunity to discover new and surprising ways of exploring their creativity and developing their choreographic practice.

Our work happens locally in Brighton, in the South East region, and further afield across the UK, Europe and beyond. Last year we connected with over 88,000 people. We supported 666 artists, co-commissioned 43 new dance works and presented 106 live performances

We are a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee.
