DAFFODIL WAY AND MALVERN HILLS WEEKEND ADVENTURE
Event Information
About this event
Orange walks are primarily created as training hikes for those on an Adventure Geek Holiday, however if we have spare tickets then we will open the event up to the general public.
DAY 1 - DAFFODIL WAY
Daffodils of all sizes and shapes have been seen in the UK since the 17th century, when Shakespeare celebrated them as the flower that “comes before the swallow dares”, and bunches of wild blooms were sold by flower girls on the streets of London.
The pastures, woodlands and orchards of this peaceful corner of the Marches, known as the Golden Triangle, effervesce with diminutive wild daffies in spring. The 10-mile Daffodil Way threads from Dymock through the serene Vale of Leadon via Kempley’s ancient church.
Risk Assessment video is here.
Start time: 9.45am
Meeting place for the Daffodil Walk: We will meet outside the church in Dymock (near the pub). Please park locally (lots of little side streets) and make your way to the starting point.
ROUND ROBIN: What colour do you feel like today?

DAY 2 - SOUTH MALVERN HILLS CIRCULAR
If you have never visited the Malvern Hills then you are in for a treat. This is also a perfect training hike for those on a multi-day adventure. There are some very steep hills on the first leg of the walk with harsh inclines, but great views! Flat surfaces on the second half allowing for an easier finish.
ACCOMMODATION: The Adventure Geek Crew will be camping overnight. If you would like to join us then please just let me know.
