Description

Daisy Dander

Would your nursery or school like to take a ‘Dander’ and support local children living with cancer?

A Daisy Dander is the perfect event for nursery and school aged children and it can be as long or as short a dander as you choose. The dander can take place anytime throughout the year and you decide a location which is convenient to you, whether it be the playground or local park.

Each school / nursery will receive a FREE fundraising pack once they register which will include;

  • Posters to promote your Dander

  • Sponsor forms

  • Certificate and daisy sticker for each child

  • Balloons to decorate your venue

  • Tips to Dander in safety

Rebecca, our School’s Fundraiser, can also come to your school or nursery to chat to the children about the work of the charity, or afterwards for a cheque presentation.

St Columba’s Nursery School in Kilrea are one nursery who have taken part in Daisy Dander several times. Paula McCormick explains why they choose to support Cancer Fund for Children.

“Five years ago, as Nursery teacher at St Columba's I decided to choose a charity to support as part of our school initiative of giving back to others less fortunate. We decided to choose Cancer Fund for Children. Our Nursery children and parents supported us eagerly and took part in a different activities to raise money for the wonderful charity, Daisy Dander being one of our main events. Little did I realise how close this charity would impact in my families' life when my six year old nephew was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour in September 2013. It is more important now than ever that our Nursery and our communities support charities like Cancer Fund for children.”

For more information contact Rebecca on 028 9080 5599 or email rebecca@cancerfundforchildren.com. We would love to hear from you! The support of you and your pupils would be greatly appreciated.
