Event description

Description

Part of the North York Moors National Park’s Guided Walks Programme.

This year we’re focusing on the vital relationship between woods and trees, wildlife and humanity. In the meantime, enjoy a spot of ‘forest bathing’ on one of our wood-based walks.

Join Mike Winterflood and one of our Woodland Conservation team on a 2.5-mile walk through Dalby Forest. Hear about the woodland species and their management, find out how rabbits were farmed and visit the Nissen Hut sculpture, celebrating 100 years of forestry.

Transport provided by National Park minibus.

Location start point what3words - ///customers.keep.chief

Includes stiles and steep sections. Not accessible by wheelchair.

Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Dogs welcome on a short lead. Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.

Our guided walks are free but a suggested donation of £2 would be welcome, helping us to care for the National Park.

Booking essential. For more information, call 01439 772738.
