Event description

Description

The Knights Templar were the wealthiest, most powerful - and most secretive - of the military orders that flourished in the crusading era. Their story - encompassing as it does the greatest international conflict of the Middle Ages, a network of international finance, a swift rise in wealth and influence followed by a bloody and humiliating fall - has left a comet's tail of mystery that continues to fascinate and inspire historians, novelists and conspiracy theorists.

Heffers bookshop is delighted to welcome writer, historian and TV presenter Dan Jones back to Cambridge, for a talk about the subject of his new book, The Templars: The Rise and Fall of God's Holy Warriors.

The Templars will be available to purchase at the event and Dan will be signing copies after his talk.

Adult tickets are £10 and children's/YA tickets (up to age 16) are £6 each. Tickets can be purchased through this page, by calling 01223 463200 or in person at Heffers bookshop on Trinity Street, Cambridge.

The event will be hosted in the atmospheric nave of the Wesley Methodist Church by Christ's Pieces, Cambridge. Doors open at 6.15pm; the talk will commence at 7pm.
