Theme: 'Remember When’... A moment in time that shaped the world
We are delighted to invite your school to perform at the Wirral School Games & Clare Mount Specialist Sports College 2026 Dance Festival, which is open to all school age groups.
The theme this year is 'Remember When'- A moment in time that shaped the world. Explore many of the key events in time that form history and have shaped the world as we know it today. We know just how creative you are and we can’t wait to see your fantastic interpretations and performance!
This invite may seem early but we appreciate the amount of time and effort involved with dance composition. This will allow for plenty of creative/rehearsal time before the event.
Please purchase 1 ticket per show/dance routine
you would like to showcase.
The event is to be held at The Floral Pavilion, New Brighton. Performances will run on Tuesday 16th June and Wednesday 17th June (one matinee and one evening show per day)
* Please note: When purchasing a ticket for this event you are committing to bringing ONE group (max 30 dancers) to perform in BOTH the matinee AND evening show on the date selected. PLEASE ADHERE TO MAXIMUM NUMBERS. THESE ARE TO ENSURE BACKSTAGE SAFETY AS WELL AS STAGE SPACE
Entry guidelines and regulations: Maximum group number is 30 dancers per school, to ensure sufficient space and safety within the backstage areas of the theatre.
- Capacity is limited to one school group/performance per show.
- Performance routines should be a maximum of 4 minutes long.
- All choreography should be age appropriate
- All costumes should be age appropriate
- Music should be non-explicit and age appropriate.
- A brief synopsis of the performance piece/dance routine should be provided along with your music, 2 weeks prior to the show. This will assist us when devising the running order for each show.
Please note: The theatre is very expensive to hire for this event. Because of this we depend on ticket sales to cover these costs. We do not charge schools for their participation in the dance festival, so there is an expectation for schools to perform in BOTH the matinee and evening performance on their chosen date.
IMPORTANT: A copy of the actual song/music should be sent to the SGO’s 2 weeks prior to the event to ensure that your music is the correct version/correct format and that the song works with the equipment to be used on the day. We will not accept YouTube links for music. We do not have time to convert music from videos/links.
