As we currently have to cap numbers at 13 due to the pandemic, we will consider running a second dance leaders class if the first one becomes full. This second class will run from 7.45 - 8.45.

When you come to book, if the class is full, please add yourself to the waiting list. If we have enough numbers on the waiting list, we will open a second group.

What about the pandemic?

We have written a thorough risk assessment, which can be viewed here and some of the main points are summarised below...

  • All participants will keep a 2m distance from each other and the dance teachers
  • We will cap numbers to 13 in each group
  • We will use the one-way system in place at the venue
  • All attendees will sanitise their hands on arrival to class
  • External doors will be opened during class to aid ventilation
  • Common contact points will be cleaned before, in-between and after each class
  • There will be a 15 minute buffer between classes
  • Parents / carers will need to wait outside the building and socially distance

We will endeavour to teach classes face-to-face at Birstall Village Hall. In the event that your child cannot attend due to COVID-19, we will provide catch up videos.

If the dance teacher cannot attend (or the village hall has to close) classes will continue online until it is safe to return to the venue.

FAQs

What are my parking options for getting to and from the class?

There is ample parking behind the village hall. Parking is free.

What do children wear?

Children will be given a free personalised T-shirt which they will need to wear during the sessions (until they have received this, a normal T-shirt is fine).

Please wear joggers or leggings.

Due to the pandemic it will NOT be possible to get changed at the village hall - please come dressed to dance.

What will children need to bring with them?

We recommend that all children bring a water bottle with them, plus any medication they might require, such as an inhaler.

Please do not bring any other belongings with you, including food, due to the pandemic.

Is there anywhere to wait during class?

Unfortunately due to COVID-19 we cannot allow parents on site. You can use the time to get a few jobs done or wait in your car until the end of the session.

Please keep 2m metres apart from other families whilst dropping off and collecting children.

Please arrive promptly to class.

What is the refund policy?

Please note that once a block of classes have been booked, there will be no refunds for any sessions that are missed by class participants.

We will provide online catch up sessions for children who miss any live classes.

If face-to-face classes have to be suspended due to the pandemic, they will delivered online until it is safe to return.
