Dance Re:Ignite - CPD with Diane Amans
Sat 25 March 2017, 09:30 – 14:00 GMT
This first workshop in a series of three will be delivered by the highly experienced independent community dance artist and CPD consultant, Diane Amans. Diane has over thirty years experience of leading dance activities and creating dance work with a diverse range of community groups. This includes working with the health and social care sector to make dance accessible to people living with dementia. She is also the author of 'The Introduction to Community Dance Practice' and 'Age and Dancing' published by Palgrave Macmillan.
The Dance Re:Ignite CPD days offer dance artists and instructors, who are delivering dance sessions for people aged over 55 years, practical advice and fresh ideas to take away and develop with their own groups. The days are also a fantastic opportunity to meet and network with other practitioners, to share ideas and experiences.
Dance Re:Ignite is a new pilot project for Hertfordshire that aims to celebrate dance for and by people aged over 55 and connecting people to new opportunities to get involved. It includes a festival day, artist training and commissioned work. Dance Re:Ignite is managed by BEEE Creative (BEEE Ltd), supported by Arts Council England and Creative Hertfordshire and has been produced in collaboration University of Hertfordshire, Herts Sports Partnership, Watford Borough Council, The Old Town Hall and Dacorum Borough Council.
