Description

Man Up: The Gender of Choreography. Is it time for quotas?

In a year that has seen a triple bill by female choreographers, investigations into gender bias, a conference, and a social media storm around the issue, Dance Umbrella and Big Dance invite you to come, listen and engage with an expert panel on how to change the world.

Panel includes: Vicki Igbokwe, Choreographer Uchenna Dance ; Tamzin Fitzgerald, Artistic Director, 2Faced Dance ; Lucy Kerble, Director, Tonic Theatre. Chair: Alistair Spalding, Artistic Director and Chief Executive, Sadler's Wells.

We would love for you to join us for this vital debate, which will be followed by a reception and the chance to see Dance Umbrella Framing London - an inspiring photographic exhibition on display at City Hall which captures a range of Dance Umbrella artists out and about in unusual places across the capital. Images by photographer Jevan Chowdhury, commissioned by Dance Umbrella.

We hope to see you there!
