About the concept of ‘He’ and Dancing with The World Tour
"He" (harmony) is the ultimate value of Laozi philosophy pursuit. Laozi considers that "harmony" is the norm of heaven and earth, objects and humans in the contradictory opposition through movement while it is also ultimately achieving a certain degree of coordination and harmony in our everyday life.
The eastern and western philosophers agree that there are three kinds of conflicts within human development: the conflict between man and nature, the conflict between man and society, and the conflict between man and himself. And Laozi noticed this variety of conflicts and stressed that they can occur between the harmonious relationships – ‘Chong Qi’ (anger) that we should all go forward to embrace the brightness into which they have emerged. We are all different, but we need to be able to accept and to compromise.
Miranda Chin Dance Company combines the philosophy of "harmony" with the Chinese and Western rhythm, translating Chinese classic into contemporary art, and created two highly representative works of "The Rite of Spring" and "The Highest State of Good - Water" to inspire the audiences on how to cherish between man and nature. The works reflect on people in today’s society and their "harmony" in both positive and negative way of thinking. "The Rite of Spring" focuses on how the movements of Tai Chi combine with the development of dancing and to interpret the era of the forward-changing technologies and art into the progress of human development. The Highest State of Good - Water" uses a diversity of water as a metaphor, in order to lead our audiences to understand the message of "water into kindness " and most importantly to reflect the harmony between man and nature on how we interpret to bring in kindness around us.
In addition, our students from Dance Land Academy will enjoy the interactive dance of the poems in memorable from the International Dance Festival of Beijing Dance Academy in 1994 through the "Mounted; ink on paper". Also, The "Bloom" and "Roar Qin " dances with the passion in Han folk customs. Our performers and audiences will all be welcoming to dance together with our two representative works of "Animal Dance" and "Tai Chi Dance" sharing an unforgettable and international culture night together.
