Event description

Description

A Dangerous London: Reading and Q&A with Gareth Rubin, author of Liberation Square, published by Penguin (2019).

Gareth Rubin's novel Liberation Square is set in Soviet-occupied London. The book, one of the Telegraph's Best Thrillers Of 2019, describes a London divided by a high wall, with a free west and brutal, oppressive east. The author will read the opening chapter and talk about how he came up with the idea.

Gareth Rubin is a journalist for the Observer and Telegraph. A varied career has taken him to a Thai monastery that runs a bizarre drug rehab regime; the world's smallest independent state situated on a WW2 anti-aircraft platform off the coast of Essex and into the corridors of power.
