TALES OF WITCHCRAFT, MURDER, HANGINGS AND MORE WILL BE SHARED AS YOU EXPLORE THE HIDDEN PARTS OF DALKEITH TOWN CENTRE.
Explore the darker side of Dalkeith and hear the many dark tales of imprisonment and execution.
Discover:
Origins of Hallowe’en and its Traditions
Witchcraft
Hangings
Grave Robbing
and many other stories from Dalkeith’s past. If you frighten easily then you have family and friends around you!
Your journey into the past will start at the gates of Dalkeith Country Park at 1.30 pm and will last for 1 hr and 15 minutes. The walk will then take in a number of exciting and interesting historic buildings and places with their own stories of the past to tell.
At the end of your journey, you can have a cup of something warm to calm your shattered nerves in the One Dalkeith building where the fun continues with traditional Hallowe’en games and prizes for the best fancy dress and best lantern. A seasonal plate of lovely warm soup will be served for adults and snacks for the wee folk.
For your trip into the past, you can come dressed up and bring your own lantern to help light the way.
Please note that this is suitable for children aged 7 upwards and MUST be accompanied by an adult.
Cost for full event: Family ticket: 2 adults and 2 children - £25 or
Single adult ticket - £10
Single child ticket - £5

For families not doing the tour but having Hallowe’en fun at the One Dalkeith building, price is:
£5 for adults
£3 for children
Access: Participants need to be able to walk for a prolonged period – however it may be manageable in a wheelchair – please contact the organisers
