Join illustrator Katie Rose Johnston for a special one off botanical workshop at Yolly's Flower Shop in South London!

About the evening...

Create your own stylish floral paintings inspired by Yolly's seasonal muted colour palette.

After a short introduction / demonstration you will be learning how to create layered , atmospheric botanical watercolour paintings with a darker background.

Katie be on hand to guide you through a range of watercolour techniques so you end up with a stunning composition perfect for framing up! Beginners through to painting experts are welcome - Katie is happy to share the basics or help you find inspiration if you are more experienced.

Yolly will provide some lovely nibbles, Prosecco and of course an abundance of her wonderful flowers will surround us as we work.

About the hosts...

Katie Rose Johnston is a practicing illustrator and graduate from the Royal College of Art. Alongside her editorial work she teaches a regular contemporary watercolour programme.

Yolly is a London based florist with a real knack for sourcing unusual blooms and creating stunningly simple arrangements. Her flower shop in Forest Hill is a treasure trove of botanicals and its going to be so exciting to spend an evening painting her arrangements.

Tickets include all materials, plus some hand painted extra's from Katie. This class is capped at 12 people to make for a really intimate evening of painting.

Forest hill is a leafy suburb of South London but can easily be reached within 25 minutes by train from London Bridge or on the London overground (orange line)
