Darks Skies Gigha promotes the wellbeing of different species of bat on Gigha and we work hard to ensure that the environment they live in is as pristine as possible, including keeping our dark skies dark by reducing light pollution. The Gigha Ranger regularly monitors bat species and works with community volunteers to make and site bat boxes in wild areas. Join her as she leads a bat box construction workshop. This will be about an hour of woodwork construction for all ages. Children must be accomapanied by an adult. £4 donation for materials if you wish to take your bat box home, or you can leave it on Gigha for free and our Ranger will site it for you. Numbers are limited for this workshop so please book a ticket for each person attending.
