Owls and bats close up - meet these incredible nocturnal creatures in live displays and discover how they thrive in the night

Creative fun - enjoy hands-on crafts for children who can enter our art competition inspired by the night sky

Special guest talk - hear from an astrophysicist who helped design the legendary Cassini space probe which explored Saturn and its moons

Frequently asked questions

Is there parking?

Yes, there's parking in the field at King John's nursery, but it's fairly limited so please car share if you can!

What sort of food will be available?

We haven't finalised the menu yet, but it will be similar to last year when we offered hot dogs, vegetarian chilli and soup - delicious light snacks for scoffing on the go!

Can I bring my dog?

Best not, as we expect to have some wildlife on display, which dogs can get a bit excited about!

Why are you doing all this?

We REALLY want to preserve the beautiful dark skies above us - great for human well-being, essential for nature, good for CO2 emissions and energy costs. We want our grandchildren to be able to see the beauty of the Milky Way above us. But if we don't take this seriously, we will lose all that.
