Outdoor walking and writing workshops at dusk, lead by poet Jean Atkin, giving you ideas for writing exercises on the hill.
About this event
Each workshop will focus on the liminal –the slip of day into night. We'll walk attentively, and Jean will provide ideas and starting points for short writing exercises whilst we're outside on the hill. Come along for thoughts of night, of doorways and staircases under the stars, candlelight and night vision!
Works created during these sessions will be shared with musician and composer Mary Keith to inspire her creation of songs for public performance at DarkFest in November.
Jean Atkin is a multiply published poet, writer and experienced educator, based in Shropshire. She has worked on a variety of residencies in both England and Scotland and provides workshops and readings to schools, festivals and community and national organisations. www.jeanatkin.com
